I have to hold the crochet hook a little different to pull the fabric through. I am using the 3/4 wide size and just cut up old yardage. Mine is kind of striped because I did not mix up the strips. I think if the fabric was any wider it would hurt your hand trying to pull it though. Loved this idea for using some ugly s that have accumulated.
