I believe I read that statement concerning the making of a dear jane quilt, but I will also adapt that statement to making rag rugs. Originally, I was going to make the rug with vertical stripes, but then, through a series of not so exciting events, I settled for this. Completion. I think I like it.

Being the obsessive neat freak that I am, it took me a long time to learn to appreciate imperfections in all types of things: people, craft, you name it. I think, though, that your rug is beautiful, and the imperfect quality gives it quite a bit of character. The colors are great together, and I like the varied thickness of the stripes.
